This workshop is designed to help young people aged 12 – 25 years to navigate the complex world of taxes.
During this workshop, participants will learn about the basics of taxes. In this class you will be guided through the steps of your tax return and get your tax’s done in just one class, no more procrastinating!
You will learn:
1. What tax is and how to get your tax file number including completing a tax file number declaration.
2. How to submit a tax return, step-by-step.
3. How to complete a tax deduction and understand what is tax deductible.
What you will need to bring:
You will need to bring a laptop or device that you you can log in to mygov.com with. Please additionally ensure you have created a mygov account and able to login into it before attending this workshop.
