Koorie Youth Flick Fest Comp

The competition is open to all First Nations young people aged 25 and under living in Central Victoria.

There will be TWO winners for the best short film, each awarded a prize of $1000. 

The competition opens to entries from January 2024, and close 5pm on Monday, 6th May 2024. 

Guidelines:

  • Films can be shot and edited using any device, such as a smart phone, tablet or camera and with any. software or app you prefer e.g IMovie, Canva, Capcut, Adobe Premiere…
  • Films must be no longer than 3 minutes.​​​​​​
  •  The film must focus on the theme “Our Generation” but this theme can be told or explored in any way. 
  • Your film must be suitable for screening up to PG classification (see www.classification.gov.au/classification-
          ratings).  This means that the film may contain language and themes that are mild in impact and which may require
          the guidance of parents, teachers or guardians.

The judging panel are looking for films highlighting story-telling, creativity, originality and for stories that meet the theme of “Our Generation”.
