Enabling Women Leadership Program

Applications are open for our 2024 Statewide Enabling Women Leadership program. 

This program is for women and non-binary people who identify as someone:

  • with disability (physical, sensory, intellectual, cognitive, etc.) 
  • who is Deaf / deaf / hard of hearing 
  • who lives with chronic illness, and/or pain 
  • who is neurodiverse, e.g. autistic 
  • who lives with mental health challenges.
  • …and wants to learn more about their human rights, speaking up, and how to be a leader. 

Participants will

  • build confidence
  • explore who they are
  • reflect on their strengths (the things they’re good at)
  • learn more about their human rights
  • practise speaking up
  • work with a mentor to achieve a leadership goal
  • become a better leader in their community.

We will learn about these things in interesting, fun, creative and meaningful ways.

Participants can participant in person at WDV’s Melbourne office, or online via Zoom.

There will be 8 x 3hour program sessions. Sessions will be held on Wednesdays, starting April 24th.

The program is free, and includes all session materials, handouts, craft supplies, and snacks.
