The Waubra Scholarship Program is open to people making the transition from secondary education to tertiary education (at university or TAFE).
The Scholarship is a one-off payment of $5,000, awarded to a student planning to undertake tertiary studies that will be of benefit to their community.
Scholarship recipients are selected through an application process. Preference will be given to those planning to study STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and/or Maths) or agricultural courses, or those aiming to work in the renewable energy industry.
The Waubra Scholarship Program is open to students who have completed their secondary education in the Local Government area of City of Ballarat or Pyrenees Shire Council (VIC).
Selection of the successful candidates is based on academic merit, community involvement, future career aspirations, and how your chosen course may benefit the community in the future. A referee is also required for this application.
