The Very Short Film Festival (VSFF) is an Australian short film competition. It is a platform for Australian storytellers, celebrating diverse voices and contemporary stories from across the country.
VSFF is free to enter and open to Australian residents, celebrating contemporary Australian stories. Films must be between 2 to 5 minutes in duration, including credits.
Two categories are available: Open (19+) and Junior (under 18, for school students). Films must be original and premiered to the world through VSFF.
VSFF Finalists receive:
- Mentoring session with industry professionals.
- Screening of their film at the Premiere Gala Event & Screening.
- Domestic airfare and accommodation for the finalists based in Australia to attend the Premiere Event (covering one person per film submission).
- Winners (1st, 2nd and 3rd place in both categories) will receive cash prizes to the value of $5200.
- Finalists’ films will be showcased on an Australian Tour.
The submission deadline for film entries is 1 April 2025, at 11:59 pm.
